Mercedes SLK

Just a quick 'spruce up' for this one. It was being returned back to a lease company and needed a bit of a going over to make sure no fines were incurred. (Some lease companies penalise every little mark and ding, whilst others are more realistically minded with respect to their fair wear and tear policies.)
Anyhow, we refurbished 2 of the alloy wheels and repaired some damage on the drivers door. The colour was blended into the drivers side wing.

This is Ian Crammond

Ian is one of our longest serving and most loyal customers. A rally enthusiast – he ‘clicked’ with my father immediately at the Surbiton Motor Club back in the 1970’s and has probably been coming here since day 1.

His background is marketing and in this subject he is brilliant. Really brilliant. I put a lot of weight on Ian’s opinions when I ask advice and run ideas past him. Below is the first ever advert for Tony Fowkes Automobiles – designed by Ian back in 1974.


Ian is a Mercedes man – of the classic variety. True, he’s owned maybe one or two ‘iffy’ examples over the years but his current 280 SL Sports is super solid and a fantastic looking motor car. We carried out a bare metal respray ten years ago and it still looks fresh today.

Espresso Machine

If you're gonna drink coffee you may as well enjoy a good one. We all like coffee here. A lot.

This machine was acquired from Ebay and now lives in the office - on the customers desk.

It's not new but not second hand either. At some point it has been returned to the manufacturer due to damaged packaging / cosmetic scratches...that sort of thing. We can't find anything wrong with it and it certainly produces a great creme on our espresso's!

Snowtime!

It's rare to get 'proper' snow here in London nowadays! This was a bit of a novelty really.

New Office!

I decorated the office over the Christmas period - it needed doing. We did the whole lot - walls, flooring and furniture. What a difference it makes to the working environment. The furniture came from a fantastic charity just over the other side of The North Circular Road - Green Works. Corporations and large companies donate their office furniture once they're done with it - often when it's just a year old! Perfect for us. The desk originated from Vodafone, the chairs from Chevron and the drawer cabinet from Barclays! Result!

Filming with The BBC

BBC London News were running a piece about how an upmarket London Designer store was ram-raided. The thieves then all made off on Scooters! The BBC required a Scooter and Rider to re-create the scenario......Cue Mr Tony Fowkes......Action!
